The Amafilter® modular mobile filtration system is an all-in-one, pre-assembled, plug-and-play unit for both main and polishing filtration. Tailored to customer specifications, it integrates a horizontal pressure leaf filter and cartridge filter on a single skid—complete with piping, instrumentation, automation, and a PLC-controlled panel.
Designed to process up to 540 metric tonnes per day, this compact, automated system ensures efficient, reliable, and consistent molten sulphur purification.

OPENING AND CLOSING THE SYSTEM
The pressure leaf filter is equipped with a hydraulic bayonet mechanism that enables quick, safe, and effortless opening and closing of the system, ensuring fast maintenance and reduced downtime.
GUIDANCE/ENERGY CHAIN TRANSPORT SYSTEM
We also offer a matching guidance and energy chain system to safely route electrical wiring and steam hoses, ensuring organized, reliable, and efficient operation.
LOWER TRANSPORT COSTS
Due to its compact, modular design, the system is compatible with standard trucks, shipping containers, and flat racks, enabling safe, cost-effective, and hassle-free transportation.
HIGH SULPHUR FILTRATE QUALITY
The horizontal pressure leaf filter system delivers high sulphur filtrate quality removing up to a maximum of 10 ppm of solid impurities.
CONNECTIONS ON ONE SIDE
The complete piping system, including all necessary connections, is mounted on one side of the skid for easy plug-and-play installation and streamlined operation.
HEAVY DUTY
The horizontal pressure leaf filter features robust, heavy-duty, impact-resistant 5-ply filter elements with tight assembly and superior cake release properties, ensuring efficient and reliable filtration performance.
EASE OF ACCESS
Exchangeable inlet manifold side bars on each side of the pressure filter leaves provide easy access for maintenance, ensuring fast, safe, and efficient servicing of the system.

MAXIMISING THE FILTRATION PROCESS
The Amafilter® VC Cartridge Filter Housing
To further enhance molten sulphur filtrate quality, achieving up to 5 ppm of solid impurities, Amafilter® has developed a second-stage safety/polishing VC cartridge filter. Installed downstream of the main horizontal pressure leaf filter, this cartridge filter removes fine ash and other particles that may occasionally bypass the primary filtration, ensuring consistently high-purity molten sulphur.
The VC cartridge filter is designed for heavy duty sulphur filtration processes. The ceramic filter cartridges are easy to clean and to replace.
