Bag filter housings are an easy to use and cost effective product for the filtration of liquids containing higher concentrations of coarse solids. They are particularly beneficial when handling batches of various liquids. Amafilter^® bag filter housings can be used as end-filtration or for the polishing of liquids with extremely low concentrations of solids.

AFE Bag Filter Housings

Suitable for edible oil applications

Amafilter® AFE bag filter housings are commonly used during several filtration process steps in edible oil applications. The AFE bag filter housings are excellent as safety filtration, after bleaching or as polishing filtration of edible oil.

AFB Bag Filter Housings

Suitable for water applications

Amafilter® AFB bag filter housings are suitable for water processes and for the filtration of liquids containing higher concentrations of coarse solids. AFB bag filter housings conform to PED2014/68EU article 4, paragraph 3.

AFZ Bag Filter Housings

Suitable for hazardous and non-hazardous liquids applications

The amafilter® AFZ single bag filter housing is suitable for hazardous and non-hazardous liquids and gaseous media as per the PE PED2014/68/EU directive, with a design filter housing according AD2000 Regelwerk.

AFZ-C Bag Filter Housings

Suitable for hazardous (non-lethal) and non-hazardous liquids applications

The amafilter® AFZ-C bag filter housing is suitable for the most challenging chemical applications and gaseous media, as per PED2014/68/EU directive with design filter housing according ASME VIII Division 1.

Multi Bag Filter Housings

Amafilter® multi bag filters are suitable for a variety of applications and are a simple, easy to use, cost effective choice.

Multi bag filters are used where high filtration capacities are needed. These bag filters are available for 3 up to 14 bags, with filtration areas of 1.5 to 7 m². Amafilter® bag filters are excellent for use in the filtration of liquids containing higher concentrations of coarse solids. They are particularly beneficial when handling batches of (various) liquids and are ideal for end filtration or polishing of liquids with extremely low concentrations of solids.

Features

Easy to use, good interior sealing and accessibility.
The filters are available as standard in carbon steel or stainless steel. Other materials on request.
Cover and cover lift
Models with 3-6 bags:
Flat cover with a handwheel operated davit for cover lifting.
Cover closure with clamping bolts with handles.
Models with 8-14 bags:
Spherical cover with a hydraulically operated davit for cover lifting. Cover closure with eye bolts with handles.
O-ring sealing: standard EPDM. Viton® and silicone on request.
Strong stainless steel mesh support basket for low flow resistance and maximum utilisation of entire surface area.
Slightly conical support basket for easy filter bag removal.
Perfect sealing between unfiltered liquid and filtered liquid is achieved by a spring-loaded hold-down device onto the filter bag and support basket. The filter bag seals with a felt-covered Snap-Collar ring or plastic seal which tightly fits into the support basket.
Liquid displacer units are available to further reduce the dead volume inside the filter bags.
Three legs on models with 3-6 bags, four brackets on models with 8-14 bags.

MBF-QC Multi bag filter housing

Suitable for hazardous and non-hazardous liquid applications.

Features

Interlock safety valve: The valve is mechanicallyi nterlocked with a quick closure system. When the system is released to open, the safety valve springs into action, safely releasing any built-up pressure
before the filter is opened. This seamless integration ensures that operational safety is guaranteed.
Quick Opening Mechanism: The MBF-QC housing is equipped with an easy-to-turn handwheel, streamlining the opening and closing process. Compared to the standard range, which takes around 20 minutes, the MBF-QC reduces this time to approcimately 5 minutes, minimizing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency.
Effortless Handwheel Operation: Equipped with a handwheel that is easy to turn, reducing the physical effort required, eliminating the need for labour-intensive manual handling.
Secured key lock: While the filter is open, the key stays securely locked in place. Combined with a DCS control lockbox, this feature provides enhanced safety and ensures complete operational security.
Spring assisted mechanism: Reduces the manual effort required to operate the davit arm, enhancing operator safety and efficiency.
Fixed vent connection: the vessel body features a stationary vent connection, eliminating the need for a flexible connection and allowing for a fixed piping set up that ensures complete safety.

Accessories

Amafilter^® supply a wide range of bag positioners and liquid displacers to suit its range of bag filter housings. These accessories improve handling and make it easier to replace filter bags.

Bag positioners

The bag positioner is both a positioning aid as well as a bag support in reverse flow.
It is available for filters AFB/AFZ-90 (size 1 bags) and filters AFB/AFZ-180 (size 2 bags).

Features

Produced in stainless steel
Easy and correct positioning of the filter bag in the support basket of the housing.
Avoids potential problems caused by incorrect bag mounting
Is positioned within the filter during filtration.
It will keep the filter bag in its position especially in reverse flow situation, for example in cases of (minor) backflow.

Liquid displacers

The liquid displacers are available for size one and size two bags to fit into all amafilter^® bag filter housings.

The liquid displacer reduces dead liquid volume significantly, ensuring minimised product loss.
The liquid displacers are made from stainless steel and designed for 150 °C.
