Amafilter® has over 75 years of experience and know-how in the solid-liquid filtration and separation of molten sulphur. We have utilised our expertise to design and develop sulphur filtration solutions for customers around the world, helping them optimise their sulphur filtration processes and solving their challenges.
The amafilter® advanced modularized mobile filtration system, for both main and safety/polishing filtration of molten sulphur, is a pre-assembled all-in-one automated plug & play filtration system which is tailormade to customers specifications.
The filtration system is designed to process a daily capacity of up to 540 metric tonnes and incorporates the horizontal pressure leaf filter and cartridge filter on one skid mounted unit. The skid includes a plug and play installation, piping, instrumentation, automation and a control panel with a programmed PLC.

OPENING AND CLOSING THE SYSTEM
Opening and closing of the pressure filter leaf system is made easy by a special hydraulic bayonet mechanism.
GUIDANCE/ENERGY CHAIN TRANSPORT SYSTEM
We also supply a matching guidance/energy chain transport system for electrical wiring and steam hose.
LOWER TRANSPORT COSTS
Due to its compact design, the system can travel on universal standard truck sizes, standard containers and flat racks making transportation both safe and cost effective.
HIGH SULPHUR FILTRATE QUALITY
The horizontal pressure leaf filter system delivers high sulphur filtrate quality removing up to a maximum of 10 ppm of solid impurities.
CONNECTIONS ON ONE SIDE
The complete piping system with all the required connections is located on one side of the skid for easy plug and play.
HEAVY DUTY
The horizontal pressure leaf filter is equipped with robust heavy duty, impact resistant and tightly assembled 5-ply filter elements with superior release properties.
EASE OF ACCESS
Exchangeable inlet manifold side bars on each side of the pressure filter leaf elements make it easy to access the pressure filter leaves for maintenance.
REINFORCED FRAMEWORK AND FULL INSTRUMENTATION
The filtration system is equipped with a reinforced framework, control panel and full instrumentation. The complete framework has been specially designed and developed for the efficient filtration of molten sulphur and heavy duty performance.

MAXIMISING THE FILTRATION PROCESS
The Amafilter® VC Cartridge Filter Housing
To further improve the molten sulphur filtrate quality, delivering up to max. 5 ppm of solid impurities, amafilter® has developed the second stage safety/polishing VC cartridge filter. This filter is installed downstream the main horizontal pressure leaf filter and is used for the removal of fine ash and other particles, which occasionally could find their way through (by-pass), when the main filtration is not 100% effective.
The VC cartridge filter is designed for heavy duty sulphur filtration processes. The ceramic filter cartridges are easy to clean and to replace.
